Director - Analox Ltd
I started my career measuring the performance of yachts and powerboats. This was the beginning of a theme in measurement. Next was a move to the Midlands measuring the magnetic signatures of ships and submarines.
Then I went into the high volume world of electricity/gas meters before moving to a company in Norfolk, measuring ultra-precision electrical parameters. The company was sold to a large corporate so I went back to the Midlands working for a company making some of the most accurate mechanical measurement systems in the world.
I was brought up on the North York Moors and in 2006, I moved back to run Analox and the rest as they say is history. I love working for Analox and hope that we can always create something special for our customers and employees. Me at work? I love working with people and solving problems with technology.
Favourite product: SV-MULTI-2 - It came out of a collaboration with a space company. They wanted to make manned missions to the International Space Station (ISS) and beyond, so needed a small O2/CO2 sensor. It has been to the ISS a quite a few times. Analox in space, that’s cool.
Did you know? I love big sporting challenges. This year it's Lands End to John O'Groats by bike in 9 days.
