Stokesley is a tranquil, historic market town with 5000 inhabitants. The town centre’s attractive buildings are mostly Georgian or Victorian, but the town itself is much older, and is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. The view to the East is of the North York Moors and Roseberry Topping – considered one of the region’s most beautiful locations.
Stokesley’s location gives you easy access to cities, the coast and numerous attractions. Middlesbrough, York, Leeds and Newcastle are all nearby, and the North Sea coast is only 15 miles away.
Stokesley is considered the gateway to the North Yorks Moors National Park, with a wealth of walks, cycle routes and stunning scenery.
