Stokesley is a historic market town situated on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. Its wide cobbled main street is lined by Georgian and Regency buildings, and it has beautiful scenic views of Roseberry Topping.
Stokesley is a haven for visitors to both the North Yorkshire Moors as well as to coastal towns such as Whitby and Scarborough.
Local history includes the birthplace of Captain Cook and the Mill Wheel, thought to represent the site of a mill recorded in the Domesday Book. There is also an annual agricultural show which takes place on Stokesley showground.
The Tour de Yorkshire came through Stokesley High Street in May 2016 - we were delighted to sponsor the events taking place on the day.
