Analox, based in Stokesley, is celebrating one of its longest employed colleagues, Production Technician, Graham Howes. Originally from Park End in Middlesbrough, Graham has worked for the company for 20 years.
Graham, who turned 40 years old last year, completed a qualification in electronics which was supported by Samsung in Billingham. Unfortunately, due to a lack of open opportunities at that specific time, he had to look for a role elsewhere. Fortunately that place was Analox!
During his 20 year career at the gas detection manufacturer, Graham has worked on almost all products, starting with their signature product the Analox 5, which has now been superseded by the Ax60+ as sensor technology continues to progress and improve. He has also been a part of the expansion in more recent years when the company moved from its premises on Wainstones Court to a larger area on the Business Park, where it still resides today at Ellerbeck Court.
Graham Howes said; “I can’t quite believe it’s been 20 years since I began my career at Analox, I remember interviewing for the job and was really pleased when I was offered it, not really thinking that it would turn into my career long term!”
“I have worked across most of the products in Analox’s range of gas detection monitors, but I enjoy working on the Sub MKIIP the most. These devices are used on a submarine to make life saving decisions if there is an emergency ‘distressed sub’ situation. This makes you feel pretty important when your building the product.”
“Working within the production team is great, we all get along well and teamwork is definitely one key to Analox’s success. I hope to be here for many more years to see the business develop further.”
Mark Lewis, Managing Director for Analox said; “Celebrating a staff member who has worked at Analox for 20 years is great, we have had several members of the team who have achieved this milestone, so recognising Graham as another, is brilliant.
“Being able to secure employees for a long period of time is a really key element of running a business. Graham’s wealth of knowledge and experience with our products is invaluable. We hope he continues to take pride in his work and keeps enjoying building Analox products for many more years to come.”
Emma Harbottle, Operations Director said, “Graham is a really hard worker and we’re lucky to have him as part of our team. He knows a lot about our commercial products and we’re really pleased to be congratulating him on his 20 years of service.”
