Analox is congratulating one of its employees who has achieved a fantastic work milestone.
Paul Oliver joined the company in 1998 as a Production Technician, 20 years later he has progressed to Document Manager- Team Lead, overseeing updates and edits on all Analox product manuals, user guides and quick start instructions in addition to the implementation and administration of the document management system.
Paul, who is originally from Guisborough joined the company when he was 21 years old, after working for a cable preparation company since leaving college. He began in the production team, soon finding he had a keen eye for detail.
From the title of Production Technician, Paul moved into the stores department 10 months after he joined the company. Paul completed 9 years in this role before he had an opportunity to move into Research and Development, where his talent for the detail of products and the importance of understanding the accuracy of instruction and user manuals was recognised.
Paul was named Document Coordinator before being promoted to Document Manager Team Lead with the addition of a Technical Writer joining him in 2015.
Throughout his career Paul has also undertaken several qualifications, boosting his BTEC Diploma in Electronics with an NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Computer Aided Design (CAD), also completing a suite of Solidworks courses across Advanced Assemblies, Electrical 2D and 3D and Solidworks Composer.
There have been many changes across the company within the last 20 years and Paul has been involved in several projects which have been integral to Analox’s success.
Paul said, “I can’t believe I’ve been here for 20 years! It doesn’t seem like more than two minutes ago that I was starting as a Technician for the company. I’m proud to say I have been involved in some of the most interesting and technical projects throughout my career at Analox.
“Some of my favourite projects to work on over the years have been a multi gas monitor for the US Navy, a CO2 monitor for the beverage industry and working on sensors for one of the world’s most well-known space exploration organisations, very cool indeed.
“The role I have now at Analox is definitely challenging, but I really enjoy it. I have to balance the complexity of fully understanding our products with writing a manual that simplifies the process, so the customer can easily use it.
“I hope to continue in my role at Analox and help to contribute to its ongoing success, here’s to the next 20 years!”
Mark Lewis, Managing Director of Analox said: “Paul is an important member of the Analox team, his knowledge of our products is remarkable.
“It’s quite unusual to have an employee with so many years at one company, but we absolutely champion this at Analox and have presented Paul with a gift voucher to mark this achievement. We thank him for his continued hard work and dedication to the business and we will continue to support this throughout his future career with us.”
