Analox employee Craig recently made a trip to the Golden Coast for both work and pleasure. Craig was on a buiness trip visiting our US office in Huntington Beach, but set aside some free time to explore the state of California.
As it happens, Craig stumbled upon the Morro Bay Maritime Museum, a collection of old and vintage maritime pieces celebrated and remembered. This bore close resemblance to the area of work that Analox Military Systems specialise in, so Craig decided to capture some snaps of the preserved artefacts. He was able to photograph favourite maritime vessels, such as the USS Pampanito submarine.
The museum was created to showcase old military vessels and technology, and it now working to implement a 'Maritime Interpretive Centre' on the Central Coast. The museum's website states:
'We are striving to construct a Maritime Interpretive Center on the Central Coast. A cornerstone of civic pride and a contributor to the local sense of place, the Central Coast Maritime Museum Association (CCMMA) is increasing the understanding of and respect for the maritime heritage of of California. Along with its efforts toward the construction of a Maritime Interpretive Center, CCMMA sponsors visiting tall ships and is preserving vessels of historical value like the tug boat Alma and the classic Monterey-style fishing boat Spindrift.'
