Matt Lambert from the Analox Sensor Technology sales team is taking on a new running challenge in September after completing the fundraising event OutRun May.

Matt will be taking part in the Great North Run on Sunday 11 September to raise money for Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice.

This will be the second time Matt has ran this race, after completing it last year.

The 13.1 mile route starts in Newcastle upon Tyne and takes runners through the city centre towards the River Tyne where thousands of people will cross over the iconic Tyne Bridge, from there runners will travel through Gateshead while being entertained by many bands on the run.

The route then leads runners to South Shields to the top of Prince Edward Road, and from that point there is just over a mile to go before the final straight towards the finish gantry.

The charity Matt is fundraising for provides palliative, respite and end of life care to babies and infants aged from birth to five years suffering from life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.

Matt said: “Before I did a charity day with Analox for Zoë’s Place, I didn’t realise the work they did, and after I helped out there it really stuck with me. It’s a tremendous cause and they need as much support as possible.”
