Analox is strengthening its educational links with young people after becoming a member of the High Tide Foundation.
High Tide is a registered charity which connects young people and businesses on Teesside, and aims to improve learning and employment opportunities whilst raising aspirations for young people in both schools and colleges across the region.
They provide a range of structured industry-led skills programmes and work experience opportunities to give young people an insight into how businesses operate, and recognise the role businesses play within the local community.
The foundation works with a number of secondary schools and colleges and more than 70 companies across Teesside.
Since its launch in 2012, the foundation has engaged with more than 4,000 young people, and helped increase their awareness of the many career options available to them.
Julie Cole, HR Manager, Analox, said: “As a local company we think it is very important for young people to learn about the industries in their area. By becoming a member of the High Tide Foundation, this gives us the opportunity to engage with more young people and show them different career opportunities we have at Analox.
We plan to offer tours of our factory and work experience placements next summer to help them gain an insight into the world of work, and experience first hand what it is like working for a real business.
