After a month's break, we decided that it was time to try a new place to eat for the July edition of the Analox Palate.
Lord Stones is a not just a cafe and restaurant, but a country park and camp site in the North York Moors National Park - routes such as the Cleveland Way and Coast-to-Coast pass directly through. When we went, there were lots of walkers and people with dogs who were settling down to eat a hearty lunch.
There were no parmos on the menu (oh no!) but there were still lots of delicious things to eat including sandwiches, burgers and pies. There is also a farm shop next to the cafe where you can take more pies home with you.
We ordered a range of food including egg mayonnaise sandwiches, a club sandwich, a steak sandwich and a yummy looking bangers and mash.
After a leisurely lunch, we walked back to the cars for the drive down the hill back to work. We didn't get the opportunity to take a photo, but the views of the North York Moors were incredible.
