Once again the team lunch has commenced off premises for some light hearted team building…nothing about the local food venues we get to sample of course! This month we visited The Blacksmiths Arms in Swainby. This was a lovely country pub and the décor reflected this, stone floors and log burner – very cosy indeed.

It also had a large beer garden at the back to enjoy the summer sun, with a great park for children…however, we had neither!

The food was pre-ordered and came to our table in good time. Various dishes ordered by the team included soup, lasagne, fishcakes, pasta, beef pie and steak and chips.

All meals were ordered from the lunchtime menu, which were ample in size and all received good feedback, especially the home-cooked chips which came presented in a little mesh basket.

Overall a great pub, with a nice atmosphere and good food, not sure what more you would want? Perhaps while being serenaded by Michael Buble? Perhaps not.
