Analox has once again sent a number of staff for a day on the farm – where they provided essential resources for the setup of The Cornshed Beer Fest 2014.
A group of staff from across the company spent Thursday 4th with the set-up for the annual charity beer festival which took place on Saturday. This is the second year that Analox has volunteered assistance. The team of six staff helped with fencing, preparing seating and tables, and hanging paintings as well as ‘icing the beer casks’.
The staff volunteered as part of Analox’s Charity Volunteering scheme which gives support to local community causes whilst also helping build rapport amongst staff. Analox staff are entitled to one volunteering day each year, and these days are organised to bring staff together who wouldn’t normally work closely.
Judy Kitching, who runs The CornShed Beer Fest on Sexhow Park Farm in Hutton Rudby, said: “The Analox team were a huge help. They’re all lovely people to work with, and very willing to be put to work doing whatever it is that we need doing. We’re all hoping they’ll come again next year!”September helping.
The Cornshed Beer Fest is one of a number of charity events staged each year by Judy Kitching MBE in memory of her late husband. Since her first event in 1986 she has raised over £200,000 for charities. The beer festival was organised in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance. Judy plans to reveal the amount raised, which she hopes will be greater than last year’s £12,000 total, on the 4th October at the ‘Thank You Party’ with the Great North Air Ambulance.
Jo Burke, Key Account Manager for Analox Military Systems, who was one of the Analox volunteers, added: “This is my second year helping at the beer festival. It’s such a great way to give something back to charity and the local community around Analox. Judy is a fantastic woman who is really dedicated to this festival, helping out in all areas from setting up the beer tents to tapping the beer.
“The Analox charity volunteering days are a refreshing way to give something back, and mix with people from work that you don’t get the opportunity to work with on a daily basis.”
Analox staff get one day a year to help local charities. Nominate your charity and we will come and help you for the day!
